Dear All,

Today 21st June 2005 in the Daily Express was an article entitled the CINDERELLA SERVICE.

The article is well worth looking out.

I have posted comments on the THATFOOTSITE in relation to the article.

For those of you who have read it any comments?

regards David

Don't think the Express publishes articles online. Maybe David would be kind enough to reproduce it here..

Default cinderella podiatry uk [Go to Google and put them in!].

Hi DAVOhorn and All,

There is an old paper on Google, (2001?). The DHSS. address is three lines long so stick with the key words above and below!

cinderella podiatry uk

It is about three posts down?

"COMPREHENSIVE REVIEW OF THE PODIATRY WORKFORCE."

Dated 23 December 2002.

'Current (2002) UK Profile of the Podiatry workforce!'

Main subjects,

1. Supply and Demand, (Now there is a surprise!).

2. Lots of statistical head counts!

3. Health Care Workers - Podiatry Assistants - P11. with Projections from 2002 to 2007, (I do believe that there are some amongst us who might have knowledge of this! 'feetforlife' appears on P65?

I wonder whether the DHSS. under another name is still working on this reports conclusions and guide lines since "CINDERELLA" appears on Page 63!

in the Appendix, Quote, 'Podiatry: Cinderella Specialty in Search of A Glass Slipper?" [MacDonald,E. and Capewell,S. Podiatry Now, November 2001, pp518 - 520], is referenced on P63 of this Report! Their Paper is also appearing above this report on Google but I haven't time to open and confirm it at this time!!!

Nothing original under the Sun but our enlightened thinking on this Forum, (If not Original), appears to be running parallel to this Report I strongly suspect?

Regards,

Colin.

PS. I wonder how relevant this is to the Express Article and whether the Article has any bearing or foundations on the DHSS report of 2002? Three years, not that so old I think for a grand plan?

PPS. Would someone care to read it, it is past my bedtime!
