Default When to start looking for jobs?

Podiatry Arena members do not see these ads
Hello,

I am a final year podiatry student who is expecting to graduate at the end of this year. I was just wondering, when should I start looking for/ applying for work? Is it worth dropping off resumes to some private practices even if they are not advertising vaccancies? Also, what are the jobs prospects like in Victoria (both metro and rural) as well as Adelaide?
Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

Thank you in advance!

Welcome Bella, I see you have been a member since 2009. Yes put yourself out there! Are you a member of your state association? You can advertise there as well as here on Pod Arena (Go to employment forum Aus). Many students line up work well before they finish. Also check with your Uni, jobs are oftened advertised through there as well. These opportunities are needless to say open to new grads.
Good Luck
Cheers
